Stone students participated in a sources of strength color dress up week. Each day had a different color theme and purpose for helping students to perform different activities for assisting in social change to ultimately prevent suicide, bullying, violence, and substance abuse. Here are two examples of where Ms McKnight's classes performed the activities. First, was take a book to a sunny spot around campus, and the second was write a thank you note to a person who has made a positive impact on your life.

From our Stone family to yours, enjoy the Fall Break with your student, family, and friends!

US history students in Mr. Putnam's class did a VR tour of sites related to the indigenous people of the American continents, on Tuesday, in relation to November being Native American History Month and as a review of their first nine weeks content.

Students out for Fall Break for nine days? How about encouraging them to READ at home for at least 20 minutes everyday?
Independent reading is the reading students choose to do on their own. It reflects the reader’s personal choice of the material to be read as well as the time and place to read it. Independent reading is done for information or for pleasure. No one assigns it; no one requires a report; no one checks on comprehension. In addition, students who read books at home are more likely to score higher on tests, according to a study of readers from 42 countries.
