The 2025-2026 ESE Parent Survey window is now open! Each year, the Florida Department of Education
(FDOE)surveys parents of children with an individual education plan (IEP)to determine how well districts
and schools are partnering with parents and promoting parent involvement in their child’s education. All
states must collect this data for reporting on their State Performance Plan, as required under the Individuals
with Disability Education Act (IDEA). Additionally, survey results will be used to help schools and
districts improve services and results for children with disabilities. The survey is open to all parents of
children with an IEP receiving ESE services from preschool age through grade 12 until June 30, 2026.

Congratulations to the Stone Gopher Educator of the Month for January, Ms. Mugge! She is nominated by staff members for her outstanding dedication and self-lessness!

13 days ago, Go-Pher Stone!
Teacher of the Month orange and black background with Ms. Mugge in front of a promethean board and the words CONGRATS! Ms. Mugge for January's Gopher Educator of the Month. "Ms. Mugge is an outstanding educator. In addition to holding her students to high standards, she works hard to ensure all students understand the lesson and is open to trying new strategies and ideas in her class. Beyond that, Ms. Mugge volunteers her time to go to all home and away basketball games to keep the books for the basketball team. Lastly, she is always positive and thoughtful when interacting with her fellow educators. Ms. Mugge is just an all-around outstanding educator and human being." "Ms. Mugge has taken on multiple periods of math students when her math co-workers are out. In true 'Mugge' fashion, she makes sure that these students were taught a lesson in her class, not just assigned to ALEKS. We have had multiple students come to us, and despite having the initial 'why do we have to go there, why can't we go to gym' mumbles, by the end of the same class these students came out and said why can't we do this all the time. We learned a lot." STONE MIDDLE SCHOOL
Congratulations to the two Stone Standout Students of the Month for January! These students were nominated by Stone staff. We are proud to recognize the 7th grade choice, Eric and the 8th grade choice, Mikayla.

Standout Student of the Month beige background and picture of Eric and Mikayla with Ms. Shaw and Ms. Feronti Williams and the words: STONE STANDOUT STUDENT OF THE MONTH ERIC ERIC IS A STUDENT WHO CONSISTENTLY BRINGS POSITIVITY TO OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY. HE IS ALWAYS SEEN WITH A SMILE ON HIS FACE, AND WHETHER HE IS INTERACTING WITH HIS PEERS OR ADULTS, ERIC SERVES AS A ROLE MODEL BY TREATING EVERYONE WITH KINDNESS AND RESPECT. YOU WILL OFTEN SEE HIM EXCHANGING HIGH-FIVES AND SMILES AS HE WALKS THROUGH THE HALLWAYS, SPREADING ENCOURAGEMENT WHEREVER HE GOES. ON TOUGH DAYS, ERIC HAS A UNIQUE WAY OF BRIGHTENING THE MOMENT WITH A WELL-TIMED JOKE OR KIND WORD. HE IS PATIENT, ADAPTABLE, AND HANDLES DIFFERENT SITUATIONS WITH MATURITY AND GRACE. ERIC'S POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND GENUINE CARE FOR OTHERS MAKE HIM A JOY TO BE AROUND AND A TRUE EXAMPLE OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A STONE STANDOUT STUDENT OF THE MONTH. MIKAYLA SHE DESERVES TO BE RECOGNIZED AS A STONE STANDOUT BECAUSE SHE CONSISTENTLY SHOWS DEDICATION TO BOTH HER ACADEMICS AND THE PEOPLE AROUND HER. SHE WORKS HARD, TAKES PRIDE IN HER LEARNING, AND ALWAYS STRIVES TO DO HER BEST. BEYOND HER OWN SUCCESS, SHE IS KIND AND SUPPORTIVE, OFTEN HELPING CLASSMATES WITHOUT HESITATION. HER COMPASSION, RESPONSIBILITY, AND POSITIVE ATTITUDE MAKE HER A ROLE MODEL AND SOMEONE WHO TRULY REPRESENTS THE BEST OF STONE MIDDLE SCHOOL.
