Stone 8th grade students had the opportunity to attend the field trip for free to the Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Cultural Complex and Memorial Park over the course of two different days. Students learned many important pieces of Florida and Brevard County history. Thank you to all that made this valuable trip possible!

Congratulations to all of our Stone Orchestra students, under the direction of Mr. Nkwa and Ms. Osgood, for their performance at MPAs on February 23. They received a rating of straight Excellent. Great job to all!

Congratulations to our Students of the Month for February, Angeline and Fatimah!

March Madness is alive at Stone! Each 4th period teacher is connected to a different college team. We will follow the men's NCAA tournament. The winning 4th period class will win a pizza party. Keep an eye on the brackets posted on the patio to see how your homeroom is doing in the competition!

Congratulations to all of the Stone athletes that participated in the Track and Field Championships at Viera High on Friday, February 27. They worked hard all season both on the field and in the classroom to represent Stone as true scholar athletes! Great job to all!

Stone hosted representatives from five local high schools on Thursday, February 26 for Stone's Annual High School Expo. Students were able to come and learn about special programs and ask questions about the high school. Thank you to all the high schools and staff that made this event possible!

Heralyn is currently assigned to the 300 Wing, where her exceptional attention to detail, strong work ethic, dedication and consistently positive attitude truly stand out. These qualities, along with the positive feedback and comments received, have earned her this well-deserved recognition.

This week is National School Social Worker week. Stone is grateful for Ms. Hanna and all she does for our students each and every day!

Tryouts for Stone's Volleyball Club will begin Monday, March 2 from 4:30pm-6pm in the gym. The schedule for the 2026 season is attached.

Congratulations to the 116 students who successfully completed our attendance challenge for February 17-27. They received 5 PBIS points on FOCUS. Check your FOCUS account to see if you were one of our Gopher Go Getters! Our next attendance challenge will run from March 2-13. Keep encouraging students to show up and be on time for classes!

Stone students, under the direction of Ms. McKnight with assistance from drama coach, Ms. Barrett, music director, Mr. Nkwa, and art teacher Ms. Mann, students put on an outstanding performance for Black History Month last Friday. The theme this year was: Honoring Our Heritage - past, present and future. There were poetry readings, an art display, a drama skit, presentation of future plans and goals, a living wax museum of black history icons, and more! Thank you to all the students, families, staff, and community members that made this amazing celebration possible!
